For learning, what analogies can be built in terms of "building/constructing"?

In order to find some useful analogies, the first step is to understand “building” in learning.
In learning theory, some terms are related to building/constructing
  • In behaviorism: association
  • In CIP, decoding and encoding is about building the long-term memory
  • In Ausubel’s theory, build cognitive structure
  • In Schema theory, build schema and mental model
  • In Educational Semiotics theory, build sign in mind
  • In Vygotsky’s theory, internalization
  • In Bruner’s theory, build m-mode of representation
  • In Biological view of learning, build neural network
Using a function-like-language to describe:
Build (x), what is the x?
  • x= synthesis of (long-term memory, cognitive structure, schema, mental model, sign-representation-in-mind, neural network)
  • In terms of analogy, like build a network of machines? a group of plays? a city etc.?

When should we train learners to become learning-design experts (From what age? In which way? To what depth and width?)?

On the field of learning design (instructional design), at least a teacher or designer have the legitimate access to ID (instructional desi...
